Definitely, maybe.

Sometimes I'm right and I can be wrong
My own beliefs are in my song
The butcher, the banker, the drummer and then
Makes no difference what group I'm in
I am everyday people, yeah yeah
There is a blue one who can't accept the green one
For living with a fat one trying to be a skinny one
And different strokes for different folks
And so on and so on and scooby dooby doo-bee
Oh sha sha - we got to live together
I am no better and neither are you
We are the same whatever we do
You love me you hate me you know me and then
You can't figure out the bag l'm in
I am everyday people, yeah yeah
There is a long hair that doesn't like the short hair
For bein' such a rich one that will not help the poor one
And different strokes for different folks
And so on and so on and scooby dooby doo-bee
Oh sha sha-we got to live together
There is a yellow one that won't accept the black one
That won't accept the red one that won't accept the white one
And different strokes for different folks

Kepada yang hampir selesai satu permulaan

Pray hard, study smart & smile!

Ekonomi oh ekonomi

Pada waktu cuti yang lalu aku sempat menjenguk (kena guna perkataan ini sebab aku keluar awal) Seminar Ekonomi Alternatif anjuran ASASI.

// Ustadh Abdul Hakim Othman, Presiden Hizbut Tahrir Malaysia : Bagaimana Menyelesaikan Krisis Ekonomi Dunia

// Khalid Jaafar, Pengarah IKD : Kapitalisme Memakmurkan Rakyat

There has to be a system able to educate and equip
the people with all the tools necessary to face the complex
pressures of modern society.

WE celebrated Teachers’ Day a few weeks ago. Talk of education
always brings to my mind a speech given by Dorothy L. Sayers
at Oxford in 1947, which was later printed in essay form bearing
the title The Lost Tools of Learning.

Although Sayers was not an educationist, but rather a novelist,
her profound critique of the modern education system
has initiated a classical education movement in the US and Europe.

I first came across her ideas several years ago, and those ideas
have stayed in my mind. And I find them to be relevant more so now
as our government is planning to review or revamp our education system
and curriculum.

It is indeed timely for the Government to introduce a new education system
that is able to really educate and equip the people with all the tools necessary
to face the complex pressures of modern society.

Selamat Hari Guru

I think the best gift for teachers would be: a good student who never forgets praying for them, or at least treat them a fine dinner, eh?

2 minggu lepas, seorang aktivitis dari Women's Centre for Change (WCC) telah datang ke kolej untuk menyampaikan kuliah mengenai 'Domestic Violence'. An eye-opener indeed.

// Ciri-ciri lelaki dan wanita...

// Bukan sahaja komen-komen polis, malah jawapan-jawapan yang tidak membantu dari jiran, ketua kampung, dan pegawai pejabat agama pun ada.

// Home is where the heart is...

PMCISOC AGM 2009/2010

When i hold your hand,
I could fly a zillion miles with you.
When I see your grace,
I can see you're God's words come true.
Every little bird above the haze,
and fish beneath the waves,
knows about you...
wouldn't they do.

When I see your eyes,
I can see rainbows in the sky.
Being with you,
all who parted reunite.
Every little pearl drop in the clouds,
and stones beneath the ground,
are waiting for you...
wouldn't they do.

Whatever you say
lightens up the burden of the day.
Whatever you do
makes us ever want to follow you.

Whatever they say,
Whatever they do,
I'll always love you.

Every burning comet that zooms,
and angels too,
think about you...
wouldn't they do.

Thinkin' bout you,
I could climb a mountain in the dark.
Listenin' to you,
Flowers dance in the park.

Whatever they say,
whatever they do,
We'll always love you.

The words that you say,
lightens up the burdens of the day.
Whatever you do,
makes us want to follow you.

Whatever they say,
Whatever they do,
I'll always love you.

Glass of Water

Scared of losing all the time
He wrote it in a letter
He was a friend of mine
He heard you could see your future
Inside a glass of water
The ripples and the rhymes
He asked "Will I see heaven in mine?"

That is just the way it was
Nothing could be better
And nothing ever was
Oh they say you could see your future,
Inside a glass of water
With riddles and the rhymes
Will I see heaven in mine?
Oh Oh Oh

Ah Son, dont ask,
Neither how full nor empty
is your glass
Cling to the mast
Spend your whole life living in the past
Going nowhere fast

So he wrote it on the wall
The hollowest of halos
Is no halo at all
Televisions said and past
In figurines and leaders
saying nothing at all
And he chimed stars in heaven aligned
Oh Oh Oh

Ah Son, dont ask,
Neither how full nor empty is your glass
Cling to the mast
Spend your whole life living in the past
Going nowhere fast

[instrumental]

What are we drinking when were done?
Glasses of water...

Heh, what a day!

Let's get back to work - peperiksaan menjelang tiba...

1. Huh better finish reading this before it turns into a heavy paperweight. Argh!
2. Recommended by Dr Haniffah, hmmm it seems the author is a neurologist too. Bacaan lepas peperiksaan.
3. Best coupled with lecture notes.
4. Same as the above.
