Just got back from Clounskea Mosque for the daily iftar. I took several photos of the minaret with the moon in the background, and hopefully that would be a series of good shots. Also, I'm coming again maybe on Friday, with my tripod and remote control... plus I can use slower shutter speed rather that relying on anything that could be a camera's tripod like car's roof and at the same time risking my life should the alarm goes off!
Free food but without the adab?
Hmmm.... Alahai manusia...

Wow! Its been a while since my last update. I'm pretty busy at the moment... or just trying to get myself busy so that I could spend my time more effectively. Am I crazy, or just plain stupid?
Last weekend I went for a hiking trip to Glendalough, a remote place where Braveheart shooting took place few years back. It takes nearly an hour or so for the bus to get thru the winding road before it stopped exactly at our "beloved" primitive hut. No wonder they asked us to bring the sleeping bag, and fleece blanket in the first place! Ok just forget the sad part. Let's turn over a new leaf instead! The view up from the hill was breathtaking, not to mention the super-brisk wind that multiplies the total chill factor we were facing. The stream was crystal-clear, but going for a swim is definitely the biggest mistake ever ----> "Are you out of your mind or something?" The hiking part was superb coz we got to see nice scenery, like Kevin's Bed and so forth; although we had to fast, but hey... don't you ever realised that people used to fast during the Badar war? When we were hiking, the tiredness itself was never came across in our mind. But as soon as we started to lie down and take a short break, then you'll groan...ooouchhh... my legs hurts! Now, behold! Some pix to be look at...

//Had a break... but no Kitkat...Pancit... syukurler hiking trail tu senang...

//Sheeps... kinda reminds me of Ami Rozaidi... Midak ooo midak kaukah kambing itu?

//Serene... Note that the colour may not be as attractive... perhaps because of cloudy sky... bad timing :( Jauh lagi ooo... belum layak buat poskad nih

//Autumn leaves - Cornflakes and this are pretty much alike... :P

//Glendalough at distance... we have ancient monastery (St Kevin Monastery) and lower lake down there...
Ok... now some photos of PMC Sports Day. Sadly most of the photos I've taken were underexposed, but I managed to recover a portion of all the shot. Morale out of this sad story: Use suitable film!

//RC Basketball team - Defend!!!

//RC Basketball team - One on one match between Shafiq and anonymous UCD player...

//UCD & RC Netball players
And Trinity College Dublin organized their Med Day 2 weeks ago. And theirs not as impactful as UCD's where they had some kind of "human stampede" along the Grafton Street... Imagine hundreds of med students running along the mall!! Surely it did scare the hell out of RC fellas :P...

//TCD Buskers - You got the guts and the talent guys!

//TCD Lead guitarist - Mr Ireallydon'tknowhisname!

Hmmm... I am quite sleepy now, so I'm taking a break. While I'm tidying up the mess around me I found few photos of Fremantle. I scanned it immediately and voila! I really love B&W!

//Cappuccino Strip - There's plenty of cafes on both side of the street. That's how this street got its name! Its not a good shot I think. Imagine aku abehkan 36 B&W film within 2 hours... mmg penat jalan sane-sini

//The Best Song In The World - Indahnye ciptaan Allah! This photo was taken in front of The Roundhouse. It was a nice day, and the wind blew quite brisk. Hmmm... I wish I will be there again in future! Kalo ade tikar mengkuang dah lame melelapkan diri kat situ...

//The Esplanade - I can't explain how wonderful it was when I sat down and took a short nap... Tempat ni best pegi... ni baru Freo belum tempat lain lg eg. Albany, Bunbury, bla bla bla bla... best buat piknic kalo tak ramai org...

//No idea what the hell is this... Perhaps a cathedral... Rasenye ni nak perabih filem je kot time tuh...
Camera: Yashica Point & Shoot XXXX (I can't recall what model it was)
Film: Kodak B&W TN4100 36xp

Surfed to Projek Petaling Street just now. It was kinda repository of all Malaysian weblogs - reflected from its slogan ---> "Content From Malaysians Being Malaysian".One site that really caught my attention was TV Smith's Dua Sen. It features entertaining sarcastic jokes about life in Malaysia. So Ya hala, make TV Smith's your daily surfing diet.
BTW, TV Smith's Dua Sen URL is:

Why oooo why???
Something I wonder, why these mindless drones always trying to convince me to stay abroad forever... instead of going back and serve the country? Yet they have sworn earlier before reaching up to this stage, they're should be here not because of money, glamour or any other ridiculous reasons. They all keep saying these annoying words all the time, to the extent I nearly kill myself! IMHO, if money you're after for, then go into something else. Medicine is way too noble to be contaminated by this kind of syndrome. Saying such as "OOOooooOOO I wanna stay here coz I can earn more... and I can buy a car big big, then I could have a good family.... bla bla bla bla..." makes I hate them even more. I am aware that the enviroment makes the difference - ie suitable for schooling your children, et cetera, but please bear in mind of what your purpose of being here is all about. There are awful lots of Malaysians that deprived of good treatment.... Come to think about that, it is a fact that some of us only made empty promises... I hope I am not offending anyone of you, but this is what I've observed about their mentality nowadays. Note:This is solely a reminder for my own good, just in case should I went astray...
Film Speed
Spoke to photo lab guy few days ago about film speed and et cetera. He told me that I must develop "view of a pro photographer" before I can make it. He is damn talented, and he was like a guru. Here's the summary of what I've learnt from him:
//ISO 1600 - Concerts, gigs, or whatever "dark" events
//ISO 800 - Indoor games (no flash), Outdoor games in the evening. For best results, use monopod or tripod
//ISO 400 - Action, preferably on a clear day.
//ISO 200 - Cloudy day... or night scene (bulb)
//ISO 100 - Hills and mountains or I should say nature photos. Using a tripod is a must I suppose.
So hopefully I could be a better photographer... and obviously there's a long way to go...

Official Ambassador's Cup Anthem
//Name Of The Game
Huhu....uuh...huuu....
Crowd:
C'mon everybody!
In the middle of the field
You wonder how it feels
To be in the middle of along
Along hot Saturday
You were all over there
And the most local scenes
How it all begin
From the moment of the shining goal
Like it's gonna be a cold day
Like there is no one gonna blow a whistle
dont blame me with no treat
Coz I'am so tired and so sick Coz' Iam
What's the name of the game 2x
You were playin'
What's the name of the game 2x
You were playin'
Huhu....uuh...huuu....
In the middle of the field
You wonder how it feel
To be in the middle of along
Along hot Saturday
You were all over there
And the most local scenes

From the moment of the shining goal

Coz I'am tired and so sick
What's the name of the game 2x
You were playin'
What's the name of the game 2x
You were playin'
I tought I will be the only one who care
But I should have known before we play
Before we play
Playin' again
Playin' again
Hmmm... apparently the "game" is whatever field we are in, no matter how it differs to each other. We are the players, and to keep the game going, we just have to kick the ball... and I heard about a saying - If it's in the game, it's in the game... So, do not let your anger overwhelms yourself... coz losing and winning is just one of the part of the whole picture. What makes its important is what do you get from losing/winning... and one more thing, trust me - shit happens. And the really big deal is how to evade it in future instead of blaming whose shit is this. It is totally pathetic for cursing what's already took place aloud, and do you think that will clean up the whole mess? OOoo God, what the hell I'm babbling about?

Dessert Night
Hundreds (if not thousands :P) of Surgeons flocked to College Hall on Friday night. It was Dessert Night, where everybody have to bring their own dessert. Some featured dessert are - Butterscotch Pie, Pengat Pisang, Popia, Onde-onde and Serimuka. Full report is available online at http://www.ihavenomoodforbloggingtoday.com
Ambassador's Cup
The most awaited soccer tournament in Ireland has come! DBS A, DBS B, RC, UCD, Trinity, Cork, Galway, Postgrads and Belfast, compete to reach the peak. Defending champion is Galway, and they played superbly for the whole competition. Unfortunately, their reign had been taken away when they lost to RC in a thrilling match. Another champion has emerged - Dublin Business School A (yup... they sent 3 teams) is the champion, defeating RC by penalty shoot-out. You guys are great! In earlier stage, RC team nearly disqualified for semi-final, but by the grace of God, DBS A trashed Belfast, and this paved the road for RC to the final. After all, the greatest underdog of the year goes to UCD - lost in all matches, and didn't manage to score any goals and that was their worst performance to date.

I think for the first time ever here, I am depressed and I felt the whole day soooo slow to be gone thru. This kinda reminds me of last year's hectic life. When everybody was already back in Malaysia, having nice time with their family, I still couldn't get myself out of the misery. I was wallowing in my own self-pity, and what made it bad I didn't realize that I did. I really pissed me off of my failure. I spent the whole day lying on the grass at Fremantle, trying to get rid off the dissappointment that really haunted me out. But now, Alhamdulillah it was all over... and I feel much better... much much much better... I feel full of beans! End of today's ramble.
Ok here's some photos that worth sharing with.

//St Stephen's Green... a micro-version of Phoenix Park, Irish answer to King's Park in Perth.

//Pusat Membeli-belah St Stephen... tempat melepak budak RC di kala bosan...

//On our way to Malaysia Hall, which only few seconds away after this photo had been taken.

//Kwn-kwn kita tgh cuba makan dengan tangan...

Hohoho... I only had 1 lecture today but too bad it was a boring one. The lecturer was mumbling all the time, and this would be the main reason why I fall asleep during the lecture. And today we have a delegation from Ministry of Education (Malaysia ok...) and they invited us for some sort of refreshment. Basically they came here to learn about the Irish style and standard for the renumeration scheme, which is solely based on competency, not seniority. We have 360,000 teachers back in Malaysia, and how am I going to choose only the best of the breed, to be promoted? Looks like they got a tough job... But the most important thing is the food! I mean, free lunch! Come to think about food, this coming Friday we gonna have Dessert Night, pretty much like a potluck. Hmmm, I've asked my mom some special dessert recipe, but so far I haven't made my decision yet. Just wait and see!

Batek tembaga dan macang-macang
Kalu nok tra nasi dagang
Kita pakat gi kampong ladang

To Rupyana or not, that is the question...
Just got back from Almhari Pizza. Me, Shafiq and Mohan had a dinner there - pizza, chips and burgers. I'm tired of eating out at Rupyana... you know, I bet even the cashier is sicked of seeing us. Not because of my bad table manner, or having the same meal everytime I popped in there, but simply because I had enough of Rupyana. It's better to get some sort of diversity in where you would go for dinner or lunch :). Okay tomorrrow we have fresher's day for Muslim student in Dublin. Many kind of activities will be held I suppose. And I've heard a senior said that there will be photography session for Salam Perantauan. Cool...
Keranamu anakku...
Ni tadi kawan aku cerita, time fresher day kat UCD City Campus. Kerana sangat sayangkan kita, sanggup ibunya merahsiakan segalanya. Aku penah dengar... ade seorg tu ayahnya meninggal ketika di tahun pertama lagi... tapi die baru tahu apabila dah nak grad... betapa hancur hatinya... tapi lebih baik dari hancurnya hati ibu melihat anaknya gagal dalam tahun pertama kerana kesedihan ayahanda yang baru pergi... So pk pk kan kisah ini. Kita mungkin ronggeng bagai nak rak kat oversea nun... tapi kita lupa harapan mak ayah kat tanah air sana. Kita mungkin setakat bermurung sekiranya kita gagal... tetapi fikirkanlah perasaan mak ayah bila mereka tahu berita sedih macam tuh... mungkin berlinangan air mata mereka... fikirkan... Jangan biarkan setitis air mata mereka pun jatuh kerana kegagalan, sebaliknya dengan kecemerlangan 1st class honours...

Assalamualaikum. Finally I've got my own iBook. So I can do my work with much ease, rather than racing for a seat in computer lab everyday. Coz most of my lecture notes are available online, so it is a necessity to have a computer! Well I don't have anything to talk about my life today at the moment, yet I still something to say which is very important - Be confident. It is a simple principle but it has large impact in whatever you do everyday esp if you're Muslim. Ok enough said, I'll talk more on this later. I'm so sleepy right now...
Apa itu syirik?
Kadang-kadang kite pon tak prasan kite dah buat syirik. Pasal bende tu mungkin nampak kecik. Atau kite pon ambik tak kesah sangat. Yela, kite fikir kite tak mungkin sampai ke tahap sebegitu. Syirik nih maksudnye menyekutukan Allah, or secara mudahnye kita anggap bende lain ade kuasa n power mcm Allah. Kalo ade mende aku cakap nih salah, silalah tegur ye....
