Mission To China

When this project was mooted by Najmi, honestly I was full of skeptics. You know the typical responses - “Oh really… Great… Why not?”. Oh well.

Not to say that is quite impossible, but as goes the saying - when ther is a will, there is a way. I then agreed to join in.

The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck. Yup, I've watch the film too!

My first encounter with China began a long time ago. It was Pearl S. Buck’s masterpiece that set me in. “The Good Earth” was one of many efforts to illustrate the China to people all around the globe, and it is still of my favorite read. Special thanks to Cikgu Zaiton, back in SMAPK (hmmm... masih bertugas di sanakah?) No wonder he won the 1938 Nobel Prize in Literature.

Now, my job for the team is simple on the paper, but horrendously challenging to get it finished. Yup... to document the mission in a creative way - writings, photos, and videos. Hey, I’m no Dato’ Kadir Jasin or Zan Azlee, two of which I wish I could have their bronze statues in my kitchen, so feel free to leave comments and criticisms (or even sarcasms) so that I could improve on and on and on. Yup, I will give my best shot… insha Allah.

Hence, let's tune up our intention to the correct radio station... hmmm okay cranking up the dial..bzzt zzztttt. Voila! Now intention is loud and clear. Correct correct correct......

...

Oh, by the way, there's another fraternity - Asyhraff, Nik Farhan and Johan, who are going to China as well, albeit on a different aims and plans. Contact acabeire@gmail.com, eh?

...

And then we have PROTES and GERAMM on July 6. Whereabout? I think it will held in PJ, close to Amcorp Mall or something. Check them out at www.geramm.org, will you?

Please note, PETRONAS is not in the blamestorming session. It's the weak governance that does all the mess. It is really pitiful to see MPs (wow even PAS pun blast sekali!), well put whatever verbs that suits you. Heh what a jest. Go Tan Sri Hassan Merican!

Meantime, this fella by the name of Saiful Bahari dropped a dud. Heh, c'mon... backdoor entry is really bland now. Why not having something bizarre like hmmmm... I don't know. What a minute, I am in Malaysia now, so thought process has to be different... haha. I have no inkling - whose game is it, but certainly it is a failed launch (definitely the level of 'lame' is comparable to big-flop Maxis' Streets of Simcities).

...

Now, for the Mas Idayu and err... who was another singer? Gosh, I am so lagging behind in our very own music industry. Almost lack of 'soul'... you know the 'Zen' kind of music, and music that moves people. Anyone remember Rage? I do.

Anyway, kopiahs and songkoks off (not tudung okay... don't get too excited, it is aurat!) for those who voiced out their concerns. A good action, as well as a good PR. I mean public relations. Too bad there are too many spin doctors around. Ohh baby, baby, it's a wild world...

Mentioning about PR, I suppose those in Media Studies are more proficient and yes, more analytical on information issued in the press statement. In the field of Medicine, they call it 'The Art of Breaking The News'. Bad news can be a good news, and otherwise.

Aiya. It is time.
