After half a century, why are we still grappling with the issue of national unity? How serious are we really about achieving it?
THIS month’s column is about the need for community centres in Malaysian housing estates as a means of solving our racial tolerance problems and helping to forge national unity.
Yes, I have written many times before about how good design can help achieve unity and I am doing so again because this is a subject that cannot be repeated often enough – after all, we’ve been independent for more than half a century and we are still grappling with unity issues.
Looks like an unfinished structure, doesn’t it? But there were only enough funds allocated for a roof and support pillars for this ‘Balai Raya’. – Photo by Prof Dr Mohamad Tajuddin. I’m prompted to wonder if politicians really want to solve this problem because there is something very basic missing from our housing estates: where are the temples and churches?

dan saling berwasiat pada yang benar, dan saling berwasiat untuk bersabar.
