From zero to hero...
There's nothing more depressing than spending the entire night trying to figure out how to run open-source software - GIMP, on Mac OS X, and found out that it didn't works! Ya Allah... what I've done wrong? There must be a flaw or something that I'd missed during the installation. But somehow, I managed to get it up and running. Perhaps there's gremlins came out of from nowhere last night, that unassembled my iBook, took out and shook the harddisk violently while I was asleep until all the nonsense and rubbish programs fall out!
Despite the success, I believe it takes time to familiarise myself with GIMP's UI. So another fork in the road of migrating to GIMP from Photoshop - though I still prefer Photoshop for its stunning filters and plugins... But anyway, when I was messing around with command line interface during GIMP installation, it really really freaked me out as that thing already collect dusts in my mind for a long time... maybe 8 years I suppose?
I felt relieved soon after I saw it before my very eyes that - it works. Alhamdulillah. Thought of another geek's project for summer - FreeBSD and MacOS X on my iBook.
Muhammad Al Fateh
Admire him most. The capture of Constantinople really proved that - If you fail to plan, you're planning to fail. Without proper strategy, the fall of the most heavily fortified that undefeated for the hundreds of years, would not be possible... and I will write about him later - my homework for easter break perhaps?
