Longing For The Font

Finally, I found some good Islamic fonts to start with, for designing newsletters, handouts, and all sort of publications. I decided to zip it up, and upload the zip file to my hosting space for others to download.

Contents of the zip file:



- Arabesque (nice array of Islamic geometrical symbols)

- Arabesque Desktop (same as Arabesque, with more variety)

- Adobe Garamond Pro (elegant, corporate-looking fonts if it is used properly)

- Jawi Pack comprises Jawi Biasa, Nasakh, Diwani, Thuluth, Kufi, Nastaliq, Farsi, Riqa, and Mamluki



Simply drag these fonts into Fonts folder in the Library if you're using Mac, but for Windows 98/2000/XP, go for Fonts folder under Windows directory. The fonts are compatible with popular applications ie. Microsoft Word, Lotus Amipro, Publisher, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash. You may need to restart the program in order to use these fonts.
