The clock is ticking...

Masuk hari ini, genap lah... eh 7 hari lagi... so ganjillah utk Iran Earthquake Charity Dinner. Insha Allah projek nih, sebagai one of the catalyst for utk hidupkan kembali ISoc di sini. Setelah tidur beberapa lama, kene lah bangun balik. Nanti tidur tak terbangun, susah.

For the first time ever, RCSI Islamic Society in collaboration with Trinity College Muslim Student Association will be organising Iran Earthquake Charity Dinner. This event is one of the main events of Ireland Iran Appeal Week in Dublin. More events such as exhibitions and donation drive will take place in participating universities and around city centre respectively. All proceeds go to Human Appeal International, which is an UAE-based medical relief organisation that currently has stationed their members in Bam, Iran where the tragedy took place.

Earthquake Facts:

//Magnitude 6.3 - 6.5 Richter

//5:27 AM, Friday 26th December 2003

//Epicentre - Bam, southwestern Iran - 5,803km from Dublin

//Dead - 25,000 est

//Injured - 50,000 est

Imagine... in matter of minutes, 25,000 people were wiped out just like that. May Allah bless those souls under its Wing of Divine... Amin. And verily, everything happened surely has a positive impact... Only Allah knows why it has to be happened...

One may believe that the earthquake brought no benefits at all. But, you better think twice. This is the time to put all the stupid stuff we've arguing for so long, aside. This is the best moment to show them that we are united. And, this is the time to look upon ourselves what love, care and unity in Islam are all about! Shame on those who still reluctant to help out our own brothers whilst all others (international community, etc) are willing to do so....

Teringat mule-mule dulu... bile aku mendengar... "We thought... that the society is going to dissolve...". I was gobsmacked. Gile terase... Insha Allah ni la masa nye naik idopkan balik. Sedikit-sedikit lama-lama jadi bukit.... pastu jadi gunung... pastu jadi laa gunung segala gunung...

Hmmm... esok... pergh.com sungguh. Byk bende datang bertalu-talu... zero idle time! (pinjam kata-kata Kamalsan...)
