Sunathon 2005

Sunathon - Sunat/Khatan Marathon or Mass-circumcision (sound too cruel I suppose, like mass-murder). Lucky you kids for having this! I can't deny I'm so envious!

Assalamualaikum wbt..

InsyaAllah IMAM (Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia)will be organizing an interesting event named Sunathon 2005.This will be open for all medical students in Malaysia(UIA,UKM,UM,MMC,PMC,Perak Medical College), UK & Eire,Indonesia, India, Russia,Egypt as well as Australia. Sunathon is basically an annual programme organized by IMAM ( it is known as Persatuan Perubatan Islam Malaysia-PPIM) in Malaysia which took place in Pantai Remis last year.It has been decided that this year important event will be in Pulau Pangkor, Perak.We hope everyone will be more than interested to join us this year! We will try as much as possible to make this event beneficial and memorable one insyaAllah.

All participants may be asked to gather in Jetty Lumut on the 21st of August. The specific time and place will be informed later.


What can we do over there?

1. There will be about 10 doctors who will lead the procedure. 10 stations will be opened for this purpose at one of the schools there. This is the time when our role come into play. Participants may involve directly in helping the Doctors carrying out the circumcision.. or become nurses help managing the procedure post-circumcision in order to avoid chaos provide food and drinks for the participants and docsand etc..

I believe there is so much to do upon arriving on Malaysian shore. However, I am weeping now that I couldn't stay here for the Deen Intensive (refer in the previous post above)...
